I found a better way to search my Windows PC

Windows Search is fine, I guess. But Flow Launcher is a much quicker way to get around. While regular Windows Search can be slow with hit-or-miss results, Flow Launcher optimizes search results and uses keyboard shortcuts to navigate—and shortcuts are just better.

At its core, Flow Launcher is a free, open-source app launcher for Windows. By pressing Alt + Space, a small search box appears, allowing you to open apps, find files, jump to Windows settings, open bookmarks, and more–all without clicking a thing.

You can even use it to search the web. If you type an internet query into Flow Launcher, it’ll send you straight to whichever search engine you’ve set as your default, saving you the extra step of opening a browser first.

Power users will find tons of customization options as well. There’s a big library of plugins and tools that integrate with most popular apps such as Obsidian, Steam games, Spotify, GitHub, and plenty more.

Speeding up Windows Search might not sound life-changing, and I thought the same thing before testing it, but trust me when I say it makes a huge difference. After using Flow Launcher for a while, I don’t plan to go back.
