If you’re looking for deals on PC gaming hardware… well, good luck. Even during a big sale event like Amazon’s Prime Day, gaming desktops, laptops, RAM, and storage are nearing unattainable levels of expense. So it’s a good time to upgrade your accessories and external gear instead. Right now, Best Buy is selling an AOC 27-inch OLED monitor for just $300, a fantastic upgrade. Get it soon—I doubt it will last long.
We’ve seen this model, the Q27G41ZDF, before. It’s about as simple as they come in terms of extra features, but with a 2560×1440 panel and speedy 240Hz refresh rate, it’s hitting the sweet spot for PC gaming at the moment. That should be sharp enough and fast enough for most fans of online multiplayer gaming. Otherwise, you get a single HDMI and DisplayPort, plus a headphone jack. It also has a VESA wall mount, so you can use a more flexible, ergonomic monitor arm with it.
This price is about the lowest I’ve ever seen for a new, not-refurbished OLED gaming monitor, and it’s a little surprising that it’s coming from Best Buy. At least a few locations in the US have stock in their retail stores, but those seem to be going fast at this price. My nearest store is already out, and others nearby are spotty. If I were looking to buy, I’d grab one quickly—the same monitor is listed for $320 on Amazon.
If you’re looking to save even more, there’s another AOC model for just $279.99, but that one’s using an older 144Hz panel. For now, Best Buy is, indeed, the best buy. If you’re looking for something bigger or more practical, see our roundup of the best Prime Day monitor deals.
