This tiny camera can be placed anywhere in your house as long as you have a nearby power outlet to plug it into. Once it’s set up, you can tune in with your phone and see and hear what it sees and hears, and you can also talk to anyone at home via two-way audio. The actual setup only takes a few minutes: you plug it into power, then connect to your home Wi-Fi network via the Blink app. You can place it on any flat surface with the included mount, or you can mount it on the wall with the two included mounting screws.
Blink’s Mini 2K+ camera is a solid budget-friendly pick if you already have a Blink Video Doorbell, as it integrates seamlessly to act as the chime—when someone rings your Blink doorbell, you hear it on the Mini. Blink cameras are also compatible with Alexa, so you can use voice commands as well as routines for task automation.
What’s the catch? The Mini 2K+ doesn’t have local storage capabilities on its own. You either have to pay for a Blink subscription ($3.99/mo or $39.99/yr) for cloud storage, or invest in a Blink Sync Module which connects to the Mini 2K+ and allows local storage on a USB drive up to 256GB.
