It’s still quite a bit of money to pay, but it’s the best price we’ve ever seen and a great addition for busy desks.
The monitor stand and dock combo is what makes this Anker product shine. Whether you have a Studio Display, iMac, or MacBook, it will raise it to the perfect height for comfortable viewing.
You set your monitor right on top, tuck your keyboard, mouse, and other gear underneath when you’re done, and you have an instant tidy desk. The side of the stand features half the ports (two USB-C, two USB-A, SD/microSD card slots, and an audio jack), while the others are underneath the dock. That’s where you’ll find a 100W USB-C, DC-IN port, a USB-A port, an Ethernet Port, and a 4K HDMI. And, as a really cool surprise, on the right side of the Anker stand, there’s a wireless charging port, so you know where you’ll rest your iPhone.
One thing you have to keep in mind here is that this dock outputs video through the HDMI port only. The USB-C ports do not support display or video output, so you can’t drive a second screen from them. If you want a multi-monitor setup, you’ll have to use your Mac’s ports or look into a Thunderbolt solution that’s more traditional.
