Small form factor PC builds are often a bit on the low-key side — usually a tiny, unobtrusive box full of parts. But Cooler Master’s sneaker case is the exception to that rule, a showpiece meant more to be looked at than played on. After debuting at trade shows it went for $3500 as a pre-built, but now you can score the case for just $240.

This is most decidedly not a full pre-built desktop, so you’ll have to supply some of the desktop parts yourself. It comes with a 360mm liquid cooler for the CPU and a respectable 850-watt power supply. That means you’re on the hook for a Mini-ITX motherboard, processor, RAM, storage, and GPU, the latter of which can’t be more than 304mm long and 61mm tall.

That’s going to be a pretty big bill to fill out a desktop build, but even with today’s insane prices, you can put one together for far less than the original price of the pre-built desktop. That said, I can’t imagine that it’ll be as easy as building in a regular case, even a SFF one. A fun project to be sure, but probably not a great idea for a first-time builder.
