If you don’t need all the whiz-bang goodies of a gaming mouse, then an MX Master is about as good as you can get. Logitech’s flagship series of mice offers gorgeous and comfy sculpted lines, USB-C charging, multi-machine control, and a sensor that can’t be stopped.
Today, you can get the Logitech MX Master 3 for $69.50 at Office Depot — that’s half off the original MSRP and $30 off the street price.
The MX Master 3 is almost identical to the slightly newer MX Master 3S, with the only physical difference being louder, “clickier” switches beneath its buttons. It also uses an older 4,000 DPI sensor, which is still overkill unless you can move your mouse about five feet per second. (I keep mine at 1,000 DPI even though it’s capable of much more.)
The last difference is that the MX Master 3 uses Logitech’s Unifying USB receiver while the 3S uses the newer Bolt receiver. (This only affects which Logitech gadgets you can pair to the same dongle.)
The MX Master 3 is still one of the best deluxe PC mice around for anyone who doesn’t need an ambidextrous or upright design. I dig its mix of metals and soft-touch plastics, its scroll wheel that can swap between precision and rapid rolling on the fly, and its wide base for my chunky hands. Easy switching between devices — or even multiple devices at once with Logitech Flow — is another plus.
Office Depot deals sometimes disappear quickly, so get the MX Master 3 for this fantastic price while you still can if you know you want one.
