24-inch Dell IPS 100Hz Monitor
Dell sells a ton of monitors. And it’s easy to see why! They’re solid, affordable, and generally do everything you need them to. Take this 24-inch one, for example—with a 1080p resolution and HDMI, it’s covering the basics, plus an IPS panel for great color accuracy.
Normally, it’s more than reasonable at $135. Today, Best Buy is selling it for just $69.99. That’s almost half off.
The Dell S2425H isn’t going to blow anyone away, with just two HDMI inputs and not even a headphone jack to go with it. It’s definitely intended as a basic or secondary display, though it includes a VESA mount if you want to add a monitor arm. With 100Hz of refresh, it’s a little better than basic, but not really up to “gamer” standards. It also includes speakers. (Please don’t use them.)
What you’re really looking for here is that IPS LCD panel. It’s an upgrade over the standard VA panel you get in most budget monitors, with greater contrast and color accuracy. That’s a fantastic upgrade if you want to do photo editing or just watch videos with a little better clarity. For under $100, this is a fantastic addition to any desktop setup—you can even grab two of them to go multi-monitor if you want.
