I’m hearing again about the possible future discontinuation of the iMac. I have had iMacs from grape color to M-series chip (6 of them) and they have been family workhorses. If and when that dread day happens, what will be a reasonable replacement for about the same cost? Mini or MacBook with a monitor? Apple I with a TV?

$200 is NOT just a little more. And while we’re at it, why not start telling the truth? Apple is actually in the RAM and storage business, not the computer business.
Doesn’t matter any more. After 35+ years as a devoted Mac user, they finally pissed me off enough to ditch them entirely. No upgradeability? No more Macs for me!!David K. via email
After listening to the WWDC discussion, even though Tim would say “now here is so-and-so to talk about the latest whatever” the lower-third graphic gave the presenter’s full name and job title. So it will be interesting to see if John Turnus is still titled as Hardware Chief.

Do you think Ternus will take Apple in a different direction when it comes to video games? I know he’s a hardware guy, but given his age, he grew up in the 80s and 90s and video games most likely played a bigger role in his life than it did in Cooks (or other older high level execs).
