Nintendo’s new Switch 2 has been out for over a year and it still hasn’t gone on sale. But if you want to grab one for “cheap” before its price goes up in September, now’s your chance: through Woot, you can grab the Switch 2 for $50 off with code CHEAPSWITCH2. That’s for new Woot customers, but even repeat Woot shoppers can get $30 off—and that’s still an awesome deal for Nintendo’s flagship console.
The Switch 2 is a serious step up from the original, with a larger 7.9-inch 1080p screen with HDR support and up to 120 FPS, which means smoother visuals, more vivid colors, and better immersion. When docked to a TV, it can push 4K video at up to 60 FPS. The redesigned Joy-Con 2 controllers have magnetic snap-ons, and they can function as mice when detached (only in supported games). It also has an improved 256 GB of internal storage and support for expanded storage via microSD Express cards (newer and faster than older microSD cards).
Whether you already have a Switch or not, this is a no-brainer deal. Given how stingy Nintendo has been with sales on the device, this opportunity is a hot one worth taking advantage of, especially if you’ve been eyeing the Switch 2 for a while.
