Noctua is a brand that seems to have the love and admiration of PC gamers and system builders, as much for its distinctive brown and tan livery as for the excellent performance and low noise of its fans and coolers. And they love the hard-to-find Asus graphics cards with custom Noctua fans pre-installed at least as much. After releasing Noctua Edition cards fro the RTX 3070, 3080, and 4080, the Nvidia RTX 4080 Super is the latest card to get the owl-branded treatment.
The Asus GeForce RTX 4080 Super Noctua OC Edition graphics card (oof, what a mouthful) has appeared on the official sites for both Asus and Noctua, spotted by WCCFTech. As with previous versions of the card, the custom shroud is a chunky four-slot beast with two 120mm NF-A12x25 fans integrated into its design, eschewing trendy RGBs for that peanut butter and chocolate look. Asus’ custom design includes five video out ports, triple DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 1.4, and a gentle factory overclock from 2610MHz to 2640MHz.
Asus
Neither company has announced a release date or price for the RTX 4080 Super Noctua OC Edition, but if the previous releases are any indication, it’ll command a hefty premium over the regular RTX 4080 Super’s $999.99 retail price. You can read our review of Nvidia’s unmodified Founder’s Edition of the new card here. If you have your heart set on the Asus Noctua edition, make some room in both your PC case and your budget. These hard-to-find cards tend to go for a huge markup on the secondary market if you can’t find them in the initial sales window.
