One thing I’ve learned over the years is that there’s no substitute for swapping out keyboards and mice for optimal gaming performance, and that’s why I keep a bunch of different ones on hand.
For example, I have 5+ keyboards. I love my SteelSeries Apex Pro Tenkeyless for FPS games like Counter-Strike 2 because it’s so compact, giving me tons of space for wild mouse maneuvers. But for games that use the numpad and for general writing, I opt for my Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro since it rocks full keyboard sizing. Its linear switches are also ridiculously quick and comfortable to type on.

Likewise, gaming mice. I gravitate towards ultra-light mice, like the 60-gram Alienware Pro Wireless, for FPS games. But for RPGs like Gloria Victis or World of Warcraft, where I can benefit from extra buttons to handle spells, crafting, and other actions, the Logitech G502 X and Razer Naga V2 Pro are my current mice of choice.
How do I keep all these keyboards and mice organized? Well, up until recently, I didn’t—I just stuck them wherever I could and swapped them as needed. But no more! In the front, I’ve stacked four keyboards from largest to smallest, with my DeathStalker at the bottom to my tiniest SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini on top. Apart from rocking a cool transparent look, which makes my gear appear to be floating above my desk, the rack is lightweight and portable, so I can easily pick it up and take it to a buddy’s house.
What I love most about it, though, is how bringing a little order to my peripherals has given me more time to game. It saves me a ton of time, no longer messing around with stray keyboards and mice scattered around in disorder, and that means more happy hours playing.
