Prime Day is upon us… and PC gamers aren’t seeing a whole lot to celebrate. With RAM and storage prices out of control, it’s not a great time to buy new systems or component upgrades. But it is a good time to step up to an OLED monitor. Case in point: this Acer 27-incher for $314.99 is the cheapest I’ve ever seen for a new OLED display.
The Predator X27U W1 is a 27-inch 2560×1440 OLED with a refresh rate of 240Hz. That’s aimed right at the sweet spot for 2026 panels, and in fact it’s exactly the same set of specs featured in the cheapest and newest Alienware 27-incher, which is $35 more than the Amazon price. The only real barrier is that you need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber in order to get this price. (Ahem, how to get Amazon Prime for free.)
This monitor doesn’t have much in the way of extras. You get two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a headphone jack, and that’s your lot. But it’s all you need if you’re looking to step up to a speedy OLED for vivid, high-speed gaming on your desktop PC on the cheap. There’s no time limit on this deal, but I would be very surprised if it sticks around after Prime Day ends.
