Anker’s travel-ready 67W power strip can handle six devices at once, and it can be yours for just $33.99 at Amazon right now, which is the lowest price we’ve seen it hit so far. While the $49.99 MSRP makes for an attractive 32% discount, the reality is that since last October, this Anker model has mostly been available for around $39.99. Still, this price drop is the lowest we’ve tracked.
This flat slab of a power strip fits easily into luggage and the port layout is practical. It features two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports on the bottom edge, plus two standard AC outlets on its face. That’s enough to handle a laptop, a phone, a tablet, and still have a plug free for a lamp or a hotel kettle—all from one wall outlet. The 67W total output is what makes this more than a basic USB charger, as it’s fast enough to charge a 13-inch MacBook Pro at full speed from its USB-C port. Want to leave your laptop’s power brick at home? Just pack fast cables.
The flat plug is what makes it good for traveling, allowing it to sit flush against the wall. Considering most hotel rooms have their outlets crammed behind desks, beds, and nightstands with barely any clearance, this plug suits the job. The five-foot cord gives you enough reach to set it up on a desk, and the whole thing weighs about as much as two iPhones, so it adds minimal bulk to a bag.
One thing I wish this power strip had? Some degree of surge protection. If you need a power strip that also protects your devices in case of a storm, for instance, this isn’t it. For that, you’ll be better off with Anker’s other power strip design that has 12 AC outlets and three USB ports with 2100J of surge protection. The trade-off is its bulkier size.
At its original $39.99, this 6-in-1 Anker Nano power strip is a decent buy for frequent travelers or anyone whose desk has more devices than outlets. Now that it’s $33.99, it’s an easy decision.
