Tired of feeling cramped on your cheapo 1080p monitor? It’s likely affecting your productivity, which means it’s time to upgrade—and if you hop on it now, you can save a lot of cash. Amazon is selling the Samsung ViewFinity S65TC for 50% off, bringing it down to just $399.99. Yup, Prime Day ended yesterday, but some deals still abound.

Going from your tiny 21- or 24-incher to this 34-inch beauty will redefine how much you can get done and how quickly you can do it. And it’s not just 34 inches with a 16:9 aspect ratio—the S65TC is an ultrawide. That means a glorious 21:9 that actually lets you stack app windows side by side and have room to spare. It also has an aggressive 1000R curve that wraps around your eyes, letting you see everything without even turning your head, minimizing eye strain and bumping up immersion when you watch shows and movies.

Three other standout features. First, the Thunderbolt 4 port with 90W of power delivery means you can connect it to a laptop and it’ll stay charged, freeing you from a separate power tether. Second, you can then plug your keyboard, mouse, and external storage drive into the monitor and access from your laptop—the monitor effectively becomes a dock. Third, it has a built-in KVM switch. If the monitor is hooked up to your laptop and desktop PC, you can use one set of keyboard/mouse for both.

The rest comes with caveats. HDR10 is nice for richer-looking movies and images, but the S65TC lacks the color accuracy needed for professional content creators. Its 100Hz refresh rate is smooth enough for productivity tasks, but combined with the VA panel, it’s not good enough for serious gaming. The aggressive screen curve will distort lines, so it’s bad if you’ll be doing artwork or CAD drafting. And if you aren’t going to take advantage of Thunderbolt 4, you’re paying the premium tax for no benefit.

If none of those caveats filter you out, you’ll come out ahead if you snag the Samsung ViewFinity S65TC for $399.99 while you can. But if it’s still too pricey for you, see PCWorld’s picks for the best ultrawide monitors.
